Perttu Of Ditutu - Patron Saint of Whitmount
Perttu Of Ditutu (?-670) is the patron saint of Whitmount,
blind people and mountaineers. His most famous miracle is that of the Waters of
Duyil, where, when he was out bathing in the natural springs of the Holy Mountain
(now Mt. Duxiy), a group of blind lepers came upon him. Seeing their misfortune,
he navigated them into the bathing area, whereupon they were cured of leprosy. When
asked if he can cure their blindness, he asked them take some water from his
mouth and swallow it. When they had all done this, the sun shone through their
eyes and they were no longer blind. Some of the water from this miracle is
house in the Ngungxur in Yuthitr, along with a piece of his walking stick.
